Boat Ramps: modern boat ramps on Lake Sharpe are located at South Iron Nation, Good Soldier Creek 

and Right Tailrace (near the Big Bend Dam).

There are primitive boat ramps at North Iron Nation and Little Bend.

Recreational permits are required - please contact the Lower Brule Department of Wildlife, Fish and Recreation.

Hiking Trails: The Narrows walking trail, winding from the ancient portage that cuts off the Big Bend,

 provides spectacular views of the Narrows, the Big Bend, and the upper and lower reaches of the Missouri River valley.
