Lakota Foods

Lakota Foods is the wholesale and retail outlet for the harvest of the Lower Brule Farm Corporation. With an annual production of 10-12 million pounds of popcorn, the Lower Brule Farm is one of the largest single producers of popcorn in the United States.  From its cattle herds, the Farm can produce 600,000 pounds of premium steaks and /or ground beef annually; and the bison herds managed by the Lower Brule Wildlife, Fish and Recreation Department provide a ready supply of prepared buffalo meats (jerky and sticks). The Farm also produces 3-4 million pounds of edible beans (navy beans, dark and light red kidney beans, black beans and pinto beans) and 30,000-40,000 bushels of soybeans. The online retail store offers 2 and 25-pound bags of raw popcorn, 10 flavors of popped corn, packs of microwave popcorn (natural and buttered), buffalo sticks and jerky, and gift baskets and packages.

Sung Maka Ska (White Earth Horse)

Sung Maka Ska markets individually handcrafted gift items made with traditional materials (rawhide, leather, wood) by enrolled members of the Lower Brule Tribe.

Department of Wildlife, Fish and Recreation

The Lower Brule Wildlife, Fish and Recreation Department, located just north of the town of Lower Brule on the way to the historic Narrows section of the Missouri's Big Bend, markets our Buffalo products – jerky and buffalo sticks – and all the varieties of Lakota Popcorn. Buffalo robes are sometimes available, as well as sweetgrass braids in season.
